This picture was taken upon Mayor Kareem Khalaf’s return to Ramallah from the United States. Mayor Khalaf was targeted by an Israeli militant group known as the Makhterit, with an attempted assassination attempt by planting explosives in his car. Those in the photo are as follows; (from left to right) Zaki Malki, Yousef Farhat Muhawieh, Rev. Audi Rantisi, Dr. Nicola Awad, Nadim Ajlouni, and Ibrahim Taweel, mayor of neighboring Al Bireh. This was taken in front of Ramallah’s City Hall, in Muntazah Ramallah.
